Birthday Love

I have been forgetting to bring our camera with us when we go out... but a camera phone is a great tool to capture the moment! I had a WONDERFUL 25th Birthday. Thanks to our families, and friends who were so kind! and MOST Especially thanks to my sweet husband! We went on the ward Camp out on a foggy Friday night and had fun with our new sleeping pads from R.E.I. and we love using our tent anytime we can! That night we enjoyed tinfoil dinners and cozying up by the fire with our new friends in the Golden ward. We woke up to an absolutely Gorgeous birthday morning in the mountains! we had a leisurely morning making echos across the canyon and hiking down to 'Dude's fishing hole' where my handsome practiced his favorite hobby of throwing rocks! ON our way out of the mountains we stopped at CSM's fantastic Geology museum.They have a complete collection of Minerals and Gemstones and fossils too. Thanks to Parker's connections, we got a personal tour behind the scenes with the museum curator. Finally we got home to catch the last four minutes of the BYU Game on line (GO BYU) and get dressed up to go out on the town! We were on our way to Denver but we made it about 2 blocks and found something very interesting! Hundreds of Beautiful cars were lined up along the side of the main road! apparently every first Saturday of the summer months people gather with their sweet rides and when it starts getting dark they drag main street Golden. Parker and I were both ogling at the 2008 Corvettes, Classic Chevys, vipers, hummers, Mustangs from all years, AND where was the camera?!? I have to do better with this! among the mix we saw a pink Mary Kay Cadillac, a monster Suburban, and an El Camino... not so beautiful but really funny! Cruise what you got! We still headed to downtown Denver to check out the famous 16th Street Walking mall. We had a great time and stopped for an appetizer and dessert along the way! m mm... We got back to Golden about dark and Cruised with the rest! :) Last but not least after checking out all the Cruisers- Parker took me to our back yard sushi place we have both been eying since we got to Golden! We sat at the sushi bar and were hooked at the first bite! If I were to cry with joy over food... this would do it! For any of you who come to visit- we would love to introduce you to our new favorite Sushi spot! We can walk there from our place! To top off a fantastic day, we enjoyed this photo shoot- and as you can see I got another great present from Parker! AW thanks :)
